Origami Bases

Here I'll show you how to make basic origami bases. Some of the names I choose will be from origami books I've read, or just based upon the shape they take. These bases are crucial to origami because they literally are the base for all origami pieces because you can't make origami without making them.

Square Base:
NOT just the basic square piece of paper. This is actually the "Crane base" from my Crane example, which can be found here under Inspiration http://clearorigamiinstructions.blogspot.com/p/purpose.html

Step 1: Have the color that you want your origami to be face downwards. So the color that's facing you will be on the inside of your origami.
Step 2a: Line up two corners together.

Step 2b: This is the result.

Step 3: Take the two side corners and line them up with each other.
Step 4: This is the result where you have a smaller triangle.

Here I just flipped it 90 degrees and changed my picture taking angle haha.

Step 5: Take one flap and open it so it looks like this.

Step 6: Flatten the flap so the corners match. Then crease the sides.

Step 7: This is the result.

Step 8: Flip over.

Step 9: Repeat steps 5-6 on this flap now.

Step 10: Once the sides are creased you've made the Square Base! A winner is you!

This is one of the many origami bases. This is the most basic of them all in my opinion.
